Open Source API Gateway for REST and SOAP

An API Gateway can expose functionality of an internal enterprise application to clients that are located outside of the organization for cloud computing, social networks, mobile apps and external partners. To be reachable from the Internet API Gateways can be installed as a part of the firewall setup into a demilitarized zone. API gateways provide functionality to protect the internal interfaces from attacks and unauthorized access. Membrane Service Proxy can be used as API level gateway for RESTful services and SOAP based Web Services.
